The water was calm that day eerily calm, even Trevor‘s dad said I’ve never seen the lake this calm and I’ve been fishing it for 30 years. There was a beautiful sunset painted over water equivalent to glass. A long day of fishing not catching too much, but worth it just for the tranquility. Then….Bzzzzzzzzzzz a rod rang, like a damn piss rocket it rang, “FISH” Trevor yelled. The chaos of salmon fishing, a boat full of guys, rods, lines, and hooks litter the remaining space you have. When that rod rings you better be fuckin be ready, grab it keep that line tight and get ready for a fight. The power behind these fish is incredible, stronger than you or I thats for damn sure, shaking its head vigorously sometimes jumping through the air, doing everything it can to get away from you. That goes for all salmon, not just the big ones, them small ones… they’ll fight you too. With that being said you never know what is on the other end if the line, sometimes a big one feels small and sometimes a small one feels big. That wasnt the case with this one, this one was a monster and I knew it the second that rod popped. 10 minutes I fought this beast back and forth 6:20 the net hit the boat floor. Let me tell you when I saw that thing my jaw dropped, this was the fish of a lifetime a 25 pound king salmon. Me, the 2 year rookie to salmon fishing just landed a fucking wall hanger.
